Pakistan to stand shoulder to shoulder with S.Arabia to end militancy: Malik

The kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sought support of Pakistan for the elimination of terrorists group which belong to Yemen while Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik assured Saudi Arabia that Pakistan will stand shoulder to shoulder with its brother country Saudi Arabia for the every kind of support and help for elimination of terrorists.

While talking to media after his meeting with Ambassador to Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Abdul Aziz Bin Khadeer here on Saturday, Rehman Malik said that Pakistan knows that Saudi Arabia is confronted with the same threat as Pakistan is facing. He assured that Pakistan will support Saudi Arabia at every front and forum to end militancy.

Rehman Malik said that Saudi Arabia is a trustworthy country that has supported Pakistan at every forum and stands with it through thick and thin. He said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan oppose militancy and terrorism in all its forms and manifestation and both countries will continue to strive for harmony and peace.

Rehman Malik also claimed to arrest 43 terrorists including Yemeni terrorists. Malik said that presence of Al-Qaeda in bordering areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan can’t be ruled out. Most of the Al-Qaeda leadership hails from Yemen, he added.

While replying to a question he said that he never want to indulge in political discussion. MQM and PPP are coalition partners and both are moving along smoothly.

Malik said that one odd incident of disagreement does not mean that they have fallen apart. He said that he had talked to Altaf Hussain; who reiterated that he had never asked the president to resign. Altaf Hussain appreciated the president’s efforts, he added. He further added that MQM is totally with PPP and ready to strengthen its government.

While replying to another question regarding pilling riding, Malik warns motorbikes holders to avoid pilling riding. Rehman Malik said that though poor people have no transport except motorbikes yet it is a sorry affair that government has to ban pillion riding.

He said that SHO of the area will be held responsible for that, especially if pillion riders are caught at night. Malik said that pillion riders may fired upon. Therefore, he requested the people to avoid pillion riding for three months.
